Minister: No promises over community renewal funding

The new minister for civil society yesterday admitted that the Government would have to create a robust support infrastructure to help emerging neighbourhood groups implement its 'Big Society' plans, but stopped short of pledging new funding for existing third sector organisations involved in community regeneration.
