Manchester best for business

Manchester has leapfrogged Birmingham to become the best UK location to do business outside London, according to a report. The European Cities Monitor 2010, published by property consultancy Cushman & Wakefield, lists Manchester as the 12th best city in Europe in which to base a business, up from 16th in last year's rankings. Cities were judged on a number of factors, including: ease of access to markets, customers and clients; staff availability and costs; quality of telecommunications; transport links; and value for money of office space. regen.net/news/1033048
