Canal link scheme wins architecture prize

A scheme that created a canal link between Liverpool docks and the Leeds-Liverpool canal has won a top architecture prize. The Pier Head and Canal Link was given the 2010 Royal Institute of British Architects and Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment Public Space Award.
