Local economic bodies will be eligible for growth pot

Local enterprise partnerships have been handed a potential funding boost after the Treasury confirmed that the joint local authority and business-led bodies would be able to bid for funds from a new £1.4 billion pot aimed at boosting economies in public sector-reliant areas.
