Blackpool Winter Gardens to be restored

Blackpool Borough Council has appointed conservation architects Donald Insall Associates to draw up designs for the restoration of the Winter Gardens, a grade II-listed building that was one of a set of leisure and tourist assets bought by the council earlier this year. The refurbishment is intended to create an exhibition space as well as restore original features (see Done Deal, p34).
