Newcastle and Sunderland in 'civil war' over LEP

A local enterprise partnership covering part of the North East is a 'considerable mess' due to rivalries between Sunderland and Newcastle, according to the deputy chair of a panel advising the government on how to spend the Regional Growth Fund.
