Mayor of London and TfL to set up £30m London architecture panel

The Mayor of London and Transport for London are to establish a new procurement panel that will award contracts for architectural, public realm and urban regeneration schemes - worth up to £30 million in fees - over a three-year period.

The Architecture, Design and Urbanism Panel will be a joint Greater London Authority and Transport for London body that will aim to promote high quality architecture and urban regeneration in the capital.

The mayor of London's office said the new panel will also be available for use by London boroughs, housing associations and other public sector organisations involved in the built environment in London.

The new panel will replace the current London Development Agency Architecture, Landscape and Urban Design panel and the TfL Urban Realm Design Framework.
