Opinion: Forthcoming changes to compulsory purchase - what to expect

It is one of the most draconian measures that can be suffered in a democracy; having your home acquired compulsorily. It is good news that the government's Autumn Statement announced that they will bring forward proposals in the 2015 Budget to make CPOs "clearer, faster and fairer". The nature of the proposals are unknown. What issues are likely to be considered for changes to CPO?
