NEWS BRIEF: Perry to step down as chief executive

The Housing Corporation has announced that Dr Norman Perry is to step down as chief executive in March next year after three-and-a-half years in the post. Perry has agreed to leave the corporation 18 months before his contract is due to run out. It follows a difficult year for the agency in which its role as inspector of housing associations was ceded to public sector watchdog the Audit Commission.
