TURNING POINT: Back from a Barcelona sabbatical

It was in May 2000 that my burning wish to try teaching English as a foreign language overcame me. I had always wanted to experience life in another culture, but didn't want the total culture shock of being too far afield. I had often dreamed of the rich and golden culture of Spain and wanted to speak its language.
