DIARY: Divine move to Canada

Let's hear it also for Waltham Forest Tory councillor David Divine, who faces a 2,900 mile commute to council meetings following a move to Canada. Divine has accepted a posting at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he will lecture in black Canadian studies. But he has insisted that he will retain his house in Essex and return for five days a month for committee meetings and surgeries.
