DIARY: Liberal Democrat councillors slammed for abuse

While council workers in Wirral and Waltham Forest can be commended for their dedication, Liberal Democrat councillors in Birmingham have been slammed for "abuse of the system" after allegedly asking too many questions. Council leader Albert Bore attacked the Lib Dem group after it allegedly submitted 36 written questions, most of which required a written answer, just days before the council meeting. Cabinet support staff had to work until 10pm to answer the questions.
