COMMUNITY RENEWAL NEWS: Poppin the young question

A brochure designed to encourage youngsters in Brent, north London, to use the range of local services on offer has been launched by young people in Harlesden and Stonebridge, along with members of Brent Council's neighbourhood renewal team. What's Poppin lists all services for young people in the borough and has been delivered to every household in the area. The idea stems from a community meeting to address the results of last year's Brent household survey, which found that 66 per cent of youth facilities in Harlesden and 63 per cent in Stonebridge were classed as "poor".
