A new offshoot of the ODPM is to be set up in the Thames Gateway it emerged this week. A 20-strong unit, including the ODPM's current Thames Gateway strategic executive, will be established in east London to concentrate on the development of the area. Consultants are currently searching for suitable office space in the Gateway, with Stratford or a similar town centre emerging as the most likely destination.
