A £20 million project to rebrand North Staffordshire as a green urban area was launched by Stoke-on-Trent City Council last week. Greening for Growth aims to ensure that transport routes and developments are framed by interesting natural landscapes, and to create a series of parks and pedestrian and cycleways. The council's environmental team has received £3.7 million from the European Regional Redevelopment Fund.
