The UK should have 100 per cent broadband internet coverage by 2005 to boost the economy and increase competitiveness, trade and industry minister Stephen Timms told an entrepreneurship meeting in Newcastle last week. He called for greater partnership between the broadband industry, the Government and the regions to ensure that every community gets broadband access.
