COMMUNITY RENEWAL BRIEF: Warden team wins first awards

The neighbourhood warden team in the London Borough of Merton has won first place in the regional and national finals of the Clean and Tidy Awards 2003. The award followed a check-up on the borough's Pollards Hill district to judge whether the cleanliness of the area had been sustained over a six-month period after a spring clean-up.
