ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIEF: Awards recognise newcomers

An awards ceremony for the biotechnology sector in the North-West last week recognised newcomers and those who have made significant contributions to the industry. The North-West biotechnology company of the year award went to Intercytex Ltd, with Dr Kelvin Scott of Senexis Ltd named young biotechnologist of the year. The event was staged by the North-West Development Agency.
