NEWS BRIEF: East London town centres to take part in public spaces programme

Canning Town and Barking town centres in east London were among 14 locations announced this week to take part in London mayor Ken Livingstone's 100 public spaces programme. The next phase of the scheme, largely in outer London, follows work on high-profile public spaces such as Trafalgar Square. For details about the locations chosen visit www.london.gov.uk.
