COMMUNITY RENEWAL NEWS BRIEF: The Home Office launches database

A database that will cross-check weapons and ammunition used in crimes against data from every police force in England and Wales has been launched by the Home Office. The move is part of the Government's drive to cut gun crime and make communities safer, which also includes new laws on illegal firearm possession contained in the Criminal Justice and Anti Social Acts passed last week.
