COMMUNITY RENEWAL BRIEF: New Opportunities Fund and Sport launch initiative

Lottery distributors the New Opportunities Fund and Sport England last week launched a £108 million funding initiative to drive forward community participation in sport and exercise. The Active England scheme is intended to provide new or improved sporting facilities and activity projects in English communities. NOF intends to provide an additional £22.5 million to develop similar initiatives in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Visit www.nof.org.uk.
