COMMUNITY RENEWAL BRIEF: Taking a Stand awards

People who have stood up to thugs, vandals and noisy neighbours were honoured last week by the Home Office at the House of Commons. Winners of the Taking a Stand awards included individuals who had cleaned up graffiti and removed abandoned cars. Each of the 32 winners received £1,000.
