COMMUNITY RENEWAL NEWS: Winning neighbours

A neighbourhood management programme in Bournemouth (above) is among 11 winners of the annual Neighbourhood Management Awards announced by the ODPM last week. The scheme, which covers the Springbourne and Boscombe West areas of the Hampshire town, scooped the neighbourhood partnership of the year award for its successful involvement of local people of all ages. Sam Dias, neighbourhood management coordinator at the Honor Oak estate in the London Borough of Lewisham, won the neighbourhood management coordinator of the year for her work coordinating the regeneration efforts of partners in the Honor Oak Neighbourhood Management Project.
