An initiative to transform a deprived inner-city neighbourhood by planting hanging baskets and plants around and between the terraced houses has scooped two awards at Britain in Bloom's annual competition. The In Bloom project in Seedley and Langworthy, in Greater Manchester, won the community award and came second in the urban regeneration category.
