Institution of Economic Development names new chairman

Professional body the Institution of Economic Development named Geoff Herbert as its new chairman last week. Herbert is the economic development manager at Hambleton District Council in North Yorkshire. Daniel Dobson-Mouawad - recently appointed as director of economic development at not-for-profit organisation Manchester Enterprises - will become vice-chairman.
