Southwark Council serves compulsory purchase order

Southwark Council has served a compulsory purchase order to allow a regeneration scheme in Bermondsey to go ahead. The mixed-use development includes 4,200sq metres of residential space, a hotel, restaurants and bars, and affordable housing. Bermondsey Square has received initial funding from the London Development Agency and business and construction services firm Carillion, and is to be financed by the Igloo Regeneration Fund.
