Work Foundation publishes report

Franchises such as those operated by fast food chain McDonald's can encourage enterprise in deprived communities and help establish a locally-owned business base, a report published this week says. The study, by think-tank the Work Foundation, says that large organisations with nationally-driven training operations tend to be better at offering training opportunities than small and medium-sized businesses.
