Council gives planning approval to regenerate Hatfield town centre

Welwyn Hatfield Council last week gave detailed planning approval to a £60 million scheme to regenerate Hatfield town centre. The scheme includes 45 shops, cafes and restaurants, a multi-storey car park, a library, an indoor market, leisure facilities and 162 residential units. The project is being managed in partnership by the council, developer St Modwen Developments and government regeneration agency English Partnerships.
