The ODPM fails to spend £50 million

The ODPM has failed to spend £50 million earmarked for the Thames Gateway under the Communities Plan. Housing and planning minister Keith Hill told an ODPM select committee last week that the department had identified the underspend, from the £446 million of money for the Thames Gateway, and was yet to decide where the money should now go.
