Cornish beauty

A co-operative has been launched in Cornwall, supplying framed photographs of the county. A loan of £10,000 from Co-operative Action has helped Oakley Pictures to establish a foothold in a market worth £8 billion nationally. Staffed by people with disabilities or disadvantages, Oakley Pictures targets other Cornish businesses - from hotels and cottages to offices, colleges and clubs - for its pictures (above). A bespoke framing service is also available and an employment re-training programme has taught three photographers how to frame their pictures. Other employees have been trained to use digital imaging and desktop publishing, and the company is now planning to market itself globally.
