Voluntary and community groups to share £50,000

More than 20 voluntary and community groups will share almost £50,000 aimed at enhancing community activity in deprived areas. Voluntary Action Oldham will this week hand out its first Community Chest and Community Learning Chest grants of up to £5,000 to local groups, including Royton Cricket Club, Glodwick Football Club and Waterhead Parish Hall.
