Budding artists
A photographic exhibition featuring the work of ten children between the ages of nine and 14 took place last week in Clapham Park, south London. The exhibition is the result of a community project to teach children new skills, encourage community interaction and build their confidence and self esteem. After a workshop, which outlined basic principles of photography, each child was given a disposable camera to use in telling a story about their community. The project was designed by local photographer Rebecca Harman in association with the Clapham Park New Deal for Communities initiative.
