Means-tested pension credits failing pensioners says Citizens Advice

Means-tested pension credits are failing many of the poorest pensioners, according to charity Citizens Advice. In its evidence to the Department for Work and Pensions Select Committee inquiry into pension credits, the charity said that hurried introduction of the system led to delays and mistakes. It also said that the DWP's target of 78 per cent take-up of the credits by 2008 should be raised.
