Capital has widest gap in employment rate
The London region has the broadest spread of employment rates in the country, according to the Office of National Statistics' Labour Force Survey covering from March 2003 to February 2004. It showed that the lowest employment rate in London was in Newham at 52.4 per cent, while the highest was in the City of London (100 per cent). The next highest employment rate in London was in Havering (79.9 per cent).
