260 town centre flats given go-ahead by St Helens Council

Plans to build 260 town centre flats have been given the go-ahead by St Helens Council's planning committee. The flats will be built on brownfield land north of the town's new St George's Street cultural quarter. The outline planning permission involves demolishing a trading estate to create two blocks of one- and two-bedroom apartments between three and six storeys high.
