Early decision needed for infrastructure improvements

The East of England Regional Assembly's chief executive has written to deputy prime minister John Prescott stressing the need for an early decision on its £1.5 billion bid for infrastructure improvements. Last August the Assembly bid for the money as part of the 2004 Spending Review to help with its plans for new housing and economic development in the East of England.
