Calculating the good of funding

A decade ago, an American institute published Outcome Funding - A New Approach to Targeting Grantmaking. It was important because it set out a way to measure the impact of programmes, recognising that donors now need to know how the lives and conditions of those they fund have been changed. These days, government or philanthropists require more than stories of intention and activity.
