High street businesses ...

High street businesses were urged last week to ensure that they are accessible to people with disabilities in order to benefit from this group's spending power. Disabled people minister Maria Eagle said Britain's 10 million disabled people had £80 billion to spend each year. She said shops would benefit from carrying out the "reasonable physical adjustments" now required under the Disability Discrimination Act.
