The regeneration of the Royal Arsenal, a former armament factory and prison in south-east London, is to act as a template for similar projects in Europe. The Sustainable Historic Arsenal Regeneration Partnership has been set up by government adviser English Heritage to offer help to some of Europe's arsenal and military heritage sites: the Battery in Tallin, Estonia; the Real Caranero Arsenal in Spain; and the Cottonera in Malta.
