Plans approved for Thames Gateway Bridge

Plans for a £450 million Thames Gateway Bridge have been approved by Greenwich Council's Planning Board. The bridge, expected to open in 2012, will provide a four-lane carriageway for general traffic, two lanes for public transport and a facility for pedestrians and cyclists.
