A funding package to unlock the freight potential of London's canals

A funding package to unlock the freight potential of London's canals has been announced. The funding, comprising £750,000 from mayoral adviser Transport for London and £850,000 from canal regulator British Waterways, will pay for a new canal turning point at Stockley Park, a canal wharf at Willesden Junction and a major study exploring the freight potential of west London's canal network.
