A fund to help children in disadvantaged parts of Wales

A £46 million fund to help children in disadvantaged parts of Wales get a better start in life was announced this week in the Welsh Assembly Government's draft 2006 budget. The funding for the Flying Start initiative would run over two years. The scheme would be focused mainly on providing free childcare for two-year-olds. For details, visit www.wales.gov.uk.
