Britain's first US-style community justice centre opens

Britain's first US-style community justice centre has officially opened in Liverpool. The North Liverpool Community Justice Centre has been set up to tackle anti-social behaviour. It deals with low-level community offences such as graffiti, petty theft and vandalism. The centre has been operational for ten months (R&R, 22 October 2004, p2).
