Tropical disease centre to be built in Liverpool

A tropical disease centre will be built in Liverpool following an investment of £9 million each by the North West Development Agency and the Merseyside European Objective 1 programme. The new Centre for Tropical and Infectious Diseases could create more than 270 temporary construction jobs, the NWDA said.
