Environment Agency asks Atkins for plan to budget for flood defences in UK

Government watchdog the Environment Agency has asked consultancy Atkins to devise a plan of how to most effectively spend its £2 billion budget for flood defences in the UK. Atkins will draw up the ten-year Environment Agency national engineering and environmental consultancy framework, which will also allocate spending on waste management and landscape design.
