The home of Newcastle Brown Ale to be transformed

The home of Newcastle Brown Ale is to be transformed following the agreement of a £33 million sale of the former Scottish & Newcastle brewery site. Newcastle City Council has bought 6ha of the site to form part of its "science city" development, through which it aims to raise the city's profile in science research.
