1. Build a multicultural programme. The East Lancashire Partnership is supporting several joint Eid/Christmas events in December. "We try to run a programme that appeals to both white and Asian communities," says Anayat Mohammad, public education and promotions officer. "We'll include anything that works." He cites face-painting, a brass band and Indian head massage as examples.
