Targets must be introduced to ensure all London's firms have a fair chance of benefiting from the 2012 Olympics, London Assembly members urged last week. Giving evidence to the economic development committee, the Interim Olympic Development Authority failed to commit to monitoring firms owned by groups such as ethnic minorities and women to ensure they won contracts.
