Tax incentives for British films have been extended
Tax incentives for so-called "cultural" British films have been extended. Qualifying films costing under £20 million to produce will receive a discount of 20 per cent in the form of tax credits and tax breaks. More expensive features will receive a discount of at least 16 per cent. The Department for Culture, Media and Sport this week launched its Britishness test for films, which look at the location of filming, the nationalities of the cast, and cultural content.
