Grant offered to Merseyside schools

A £1 million grant has been offered to schools in Merseyside to encourage their pupils to make healthier and safer journeys to schools on foot and by bicycle. So far 200 schools across the region have taken up grants to do things such as build cycle shelters and secure cycle storage, create footpath access and provide more road safety training to pupils.
